The Garden Room

A south-facing double on the first floor, kept much as it always was, a roll-top bath beneath the window, and the walled garden laid out below.

Mornings here begin with light across the linen and the smell of box hedge through an open sash. The bed is a wide oak four-poster dressed in heavy cotton; the bath sits in the bay, deep enough to disappear into. It is a quiet room, away from the stairs, with nothing to do in it but rest.

Breakfast is brought up on request, or taken in the orangery below. The garden door is yours to use before the day's guests arrive.
